KATHMANDU

Arrival in Kathmandu Tribhuwan International Airport. Welcome at airport and transfer to the hotel. Check-in and remaining day rest on your own.

1ST DAY

KATHMANDU AND PATAN

Morning breakfast, after then tour guide will pick you up from hotel. Then starts your sightseeing tour to Swoyambhunath, Boudhanath , Pashupatinath & Patan. During your sightseeing tours, you will be exploring one of the well known popular Buddhist stupa called Swoyambhunath also knows as Monkey Temple, one of the holiest and largest ancient stupa in the world Buddhist sites Boudhanath, one of the Hindu holiest temple Pashupatinath and popular stone carved Krishna Temple in Patan. After sightseeing you will be dropped at your hotel.

2ND DAY

KATHMANDU—CHITWAN NATIONAL PARK

Early morning breakfast at your hotel and drive to Chitwan National Park. Welcome drink at Lodge and check in. After then your lunch will be ready, take the lunch and rest. At 15 PM, your tour guide will you to explore typical Tharu village where you will be exploring the Tharu life style. At evening back to Lodge and proceed for Tharu Culture dance show. Later on return to Lodge and overnight.

3RD DAY

CHITWAN NATIONAL PARK

Breakfast, Canoe ride along the river. An excellent opportunity to Birds Watching and seeing the 2 rare species of crocodiles; the Marsh Mugger and the fish eating – Gharial. Then Jungle Walk, on the way back, you can visit the Elephant breeding centre. After Lunch: Elephant ride jungle Safari to National Park. An excellent opportunity to see four different kind of Deer, Rhinoceros, Wild Boar, Monkey, Leopard, Sloth Bear and the Royal Bengal Tiger (If you are lucky). At evening dinner at Lodge and rest.

4TH DAY

CHITWAN—POKHARA

Wake-up call and breakfast. Then, journey heads toward the Pokhara. You will be driving around 3 and half hour from Chitwan to Pokhara. Check-in at hotel, remaining day boating at Phewa Lake and walking around the Lake on your own.

5TH DAY

POKHARA

Early morning wake-up and drive to Sarangkot (1,592M) where you can see beautiful sunrise. on a clear day you can see an unobstructed view of the Himalayan mountains of Annapurna rang, Dhauligiri, Fishtail. Another main attraction to Sarangkot is to spend hours in the sky paragliding with fantastic views of the mountains and the city below. Later on drive back to hotel, have breakfast and we shall continue our sightseeing of Pokhara town. You will be sightseeing Bindebashini Temple, Seti Gorge, Old Bazar, Regional Museum, Davis Fall ( water fall) , Gupteshwor Cave and back to the Lakeside.

6TH DAY

POKHARA—KATHMANDU

Morning breakfast at hotel and start the journey from Pokhra to Kathmandu which will take 4 hours 30 minutes drive from Pokhara. An alternative will be to fly by flight from Pokhara to Kathmandu which will be just 20 minutes fight in an additional price. Arrival in Kathmandu and check-in at hotel.

7TH DAY

KATHMANDU (1300) -- ZHANGMU (2500M)/NYALAM (3700M):: 123 KM/156 KM (TIBET)

Departing at 0530 AM from Kathmandu office, approx. 05 hrs drives along the Arniko Highway, will take you to Kodari (China / Nepal Border). You will cross the Friendship Bridge at the border, where after completion of immigration formalities, we will enter to the Chinese Autonomous Region & start the first night in the Tibetan plateau. We will be staying at the hotel in Zhanmgu or drive further to Nyalam and over night in guest house.

8TH DAY

ZHANGMU/NYALAM -- TINGRI (4300M)/LHATSE (4350M): 225 KM/244 KM

Day drive uphill to the highest plateau of the world with the typical view of Tibetan landscape offering sheer feeling of standing on the roof of the world crossing over LALUNGLA (5,050 M), from where, weather permitting, breathtaking panorama of beautiful Himalayan ranges including MT CHO OYU (8, 201 M) & MT XISHAPAGMA (8,212M) but dwarfed by the vastness of the Tibetan plateau. From TINGRI, one can also enjoy the magnificence of MT. EVEREST (8,848 M). Overnight at guest house.

9TH DAY

TINGRI/LHATSE -- XIGATSE (3900M): 244 KM

Continue scenic drive crossing over GYATCHU LA (5,220M), the highest pass en route to LHASA via LHATSE from where a road to MT KAILASH bifurcates to the west. In Xigatse, we visit Tashilumpo Monastery, one of the four great Gelug monasteries renowned as the seat of the Panchen Lama until his death in 1989. We will visit the Bazaar of Xigatse, Overnight in hotel at Xigatse.

10TH DAY

XIGATSE—LHASA (3650M) -- 349 KMS

We drive to the capital of the small kingdom in 15th century. Gyantse. Visit Gyantse Kumbum (the highest Chorten in Tibet) & Pelkor Chode Monastery founded in 1418. After sightseeing drive continue to Lhasa, crossing the Karo-la Pass(5045m), we pass by the Yamdrok Tso, the turquoise lake & one of the four holy lakes in Tibet. Then after passing the Kamba-la Pass (4794m), we find ourselves close to the Lhasa Valley. After crossing the Brahmaputra River, we reach Lhasa, our final destination. Lhasa lies in the Kyichu river valley at 3,595m and is dominated by the magnificent Potala Palace, built in the 17th century by the Great Fifth Dalai Lama. The accompanied guide will reconfirm your onward airline ticket. Overnight at Lhasa.

11TH DAY

LHASA

These days you will be engrossed with sightseeing and excursion of the Potala Palace (A great museum with its proportions and priceless treasures) Jokhang Temple (the holiest of Tibetan shrines, houses two images of the Buddha brought as dowry by Songtsen Gampo’s Nepali and Chinese queens) along the bustling street of Barkhor Market. In Lhasa you will also visit Norbu Lingka (the summer palace of the Dalai Lamas), Drepung and Sera Monasteries. Overnight at Lhasa.

12TH DAY

LHASA—KATHMANDU

CA–407 /1040– 0945 Transfer Gongkar airport for the onward flight to Kathmandu. Our representative will assist you to get check in at airport. The flight is of 01hours 10 minutes departing at 10:40 am CST & arriving Kathmandu at 09:45 AM NST usually.
