Festival- Purnima ( Full Moon Day)
Date: 2012-10-292012-10-29After a long days Dashain festival this finally comes to an end as people mark the Kojagrat Purnima on this day. The festival that starts on Ghatasthapana, will conclude on the day of Purnima with the worship of Maha Laxmi in this evening. Hindu holy books say that the Goddess of prosperity and wealth, Mahalaxmi, roams round the earth on the night of ‘Kojagrat Purnima’ to see people who stay awake to worship her that day. There is a belief that the night-long worship of the Goddess brings more wealth to the devotees.
