The Everest Base Camp Trek is one of the most beautiful and famous trekking journeys of Himalaya. After landing in Kathmandu at the elevation of 1,400 meters (4,600 feet), we will have a day sightseeing in Kathmandu to acclimatize. Then, we will take 40 minutes flight to the city of Lukla in the Khumbu area of the Solukhumbu District in the Sagarmatha Zone of north-eastern Nepal. The Lukla airport is Situated at 2,860 meters. Combined with the beauty of the Himalayas, the Everest Base Camp Trek is culturally enticing which makes it the trek of a lifetime for the trekkers. Experience the Khumbu’s many majestic features, go through amazing mountain valleys and revel in the region’s awe-inspiring hallmarks. Similarly, observe the legendary Sherpa Culture of the Khumbu region. Embarking a journey that was first done by Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa in 1953 is a matter of immense pride and glory.
During the Everest Base Camp Trek, we will enjoy the vantage point of Kalapatthar, a breath-taking panorama of the entire Mount Everest massif from Syangboche hill, a massif Amadablam standing just front of your forehead and Tengboche Monastery. Similarly, the Khumbu Glacier and the Icefall are also some places that are notably famous in this area. Eventually, you will enjoy visiting the base of the world’s tallest mountain. Itinerary

Day 1 :
ARRIVAL IN KATHMANDU (1300M)
Arrival in Kathmandu. Meet and greet by our team and transfer to the hotel. The remaining afternoon is for leisure time. Everest Base Camp (EBC) Trek briefing will be given around 6 pm where arrangements will be made for the distribution of your official program. In Evening, you will be heading out to the dinner at your hotel and this is a great opportunity to get acquainted with your fellow group members before starting the Annapurna Base Camp Trek in Nepal. <span>Accommodation:</span> Bed and Dinner
Day 2 :
KATHMANDU CITY SIGHTSEEING TOURS
Enjoy your breakfast served at your hotel’s outlet. At 09:30 our team will pick you up at your hotel to proceed with your day-long sightseeing tours of Kathmandu. We will proceed to Kathmandu Durbar Square by visiting cultural and historical places which is also known as Basantapur. During your trip in Basantapur; you will visit Kumari Living goddess house, Kasthamandap ( a building which was built by the branch of a single tree), Seto Bhairawa & Kalo Bhairaw temple and finally proceed to the Swayambhunath, an ancient religious complex atop a hill in the Kathmandu valley which is also known as Monkey temple. After then, we will drive further to visit Boudhanath stupa which is one of the holiest and World’s heritage Buddhist site. After finishing Boudhanath we will continue our sightseeing to another holy Hindu temple, popularly known as Pasupatinath situated at the bank of Bagmati river. Day 3 :
KATHMANDU—LUKLA 2886M—PHAKDING 2652M | 4 HOURS -8KM
Morning breakfast, then our team will transfer you to the domestic airport in Kathmandu to take your onward flight to Lukla. It will take approximately 35 minutes from Kathmandu to Lukla, one of the shortest commercial runway airport in Nepal. After landing in Lukla you will prepare the trekking gears and start your walk from Lukla to Phakding descending 200 meters which we will overcome after 4 hours walk. During our trek from Lukla to Phakding, we will be having great mountain glimpse such as Nupla 5,885m above Kongde Ridge, Kusum Kang 6367m and finally, we will reach the Phakding. It is most important in your trek in high altitude that you walk slowly and drink a lot of water, never keep you under pressure to enable your body to acclimatize and enjoy the trek. Day 4 :
PHAKDING 2,652M — NAMCHE BAZAAR 3,440M | 6 HOURS - 10 - 12KM
Have your breakfast, then we will start our trek to Namche Bazar, a capital of Sherpa which lies at an altitude of 3,440 meters. Today, begins on level ground, relative to the environment crossing the river on the high suspension bridge, begin to climb upwards to Manju 2800m, and on to the gateway to the Sagarmatha National park entrance. We will be passing our trekking permits and national park entrance clearance at the entrance then we will have a small good rest. Then we will start our trek further up and enjoy the views of Kusum Kangaru, Thamserku, Konde-Ri and Tawache peak before we reach the Namache Bazar. After crossing the Larcha Dowan bridge we will finally climb up the mountain to reach the Namache Bazar which is pretty hard for today. Finally, after the 5 hours walk, we will reach Namche Bazar and enjoy the evening in Namche. Overnight in a guest house. <span>Accommodation:</span> Lodge, Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Day 5 :
ACCLIMATIZATION IN NAMCHE
Namche is a great place to acclimatize. The sights around Namche are spectacular and beautiful. After breakfast, you can visit the Syangboche Airstrip that lies on a hill above the town. From here, you can get a panoramic view of Namche and can see amazing sights of the Himalayas as well. Further from Namche lies the Everest View Hotel. The hotel is the highest located hotel in the world and provides a view of Mount Everest and many other Himalayan peaks from all of its windows. Back at Namche, you can visit the Everest Photo Gallery and the Sherpa Culture Museum as well. Day 6 :
NAMCHE BAZAR 3,440M — TENGBOCHE 3,867M | 5 HOURS - 11KM
Breakfast at your guesthouse. An easy trail from Namche opens out towards the Dudh Koshi Valley at the settlement of Phungki Thanka. From the settlement, the views of Mount Everest are magnificent. Following the trail that marches along the right side of the Dudh Koshi River, the village of Tengboche is reached. The journey from Namche to Tengboche is filled with amazing natural scenery of rivers, hills and Himalayan peaks. The village of Tengboche is located at the confluence of the Dudh Koshi and the Imja Khola Rivers and is surrounded by tall hills that are covered in rhododendron trees. The village is also famous for Tengboche Monastery, the largest monastery of the Khumbu region. The monastery is a hamlet from where the sight of Mount Ama Dablam, Mount Everest, and numerous other peaks are beautiful to look at. The Tengboche Monastery is also regarded as the spiritual hub of the Khumbu region and is surrounded by forests that are inhabited by Impeyan Pheasants and eagles. Day 7 :
TENGBOCHE — DINGBOCHE 4260M | 5 HOURS - 11KM
Have your breakfast. Today’s trekking trail crosses the Imja River via a suspension bridge and moves towards the village of Dingboche. Along the way, the village of Pangboche is passed. Dingboche is called the “Summer Valley” of the Khumbu and contains a Kilometer long wall built to protect the village’s crops from the cold winds that descends down the Imja Valley. Dingboche, as the name reflects, receives more sun too. Graceful views of Lhotse, the Ama Dablam, and the Island Peak from Dingboche are quite amazing. Day 8 :
ACCLIMATISATION IN DINGBOCHE 4,260M
As tomorrow we will be at 4,930 meter at Lobuche, today we all will have acclimatisation and relaxing day at Dingboche to prepare us for the next day. A hike to Nagerjun is a great way to spend time at Dingboche. Nagerjun is located at the height of 5,100M and lies just above Dingboche on a hill at the edges of the Chhukung valley. The hike is uphill and steep, and requires a bit of a strenuous energy. Walking for approximately 3-4 hours, we will reach Nagerjun from where marvellous panorama of Lobuche East (6,119m), Lobuche West (6,145m), Kangtega (6,685m), Taboche Peak (6,367m), Thamserku (6,608m), and the Ama Dablam (6,856m) can be seen. If you are lucky, you can also spot stunning sights of Mount Makalu, the world’s fifth tallest peak on a clear day. The view of the Pheriche Valley from here is also splendid. Returning back to Dingboche is also very beautiful. After finishing our lunch, we can take a rejuvenating sunbath and relax at the village. Day 9 :
DINGBOCHE - LOBUCHE 4,930M | 5 HOURS - 12KM
After breakfast, we will start our trek towards the Lobuche which will take us 5 hours today. Making our way to Dhungla from Dingboche, you will come across the Trekkers Aid Post- situated at Pheriche at altitude of 4,210m. It is run by the Western Volunteer Doctors and assisted by The Himalayan Rescue Association. The aid post helps in the treatment of trekkers. The Chupki Lhara is then reached. It is a rock-strewn oblique from where sight of magisterial mountains can be seen. The path follows further down to the Khumbu Glacier moraine from there. The views of mountain peaks like Khumbutse, the Mahalangur Himal, Lingtren and the Pumori from the moraine are amazing. Mount Nuptse also looms up ahead once the glacier pass is crossed. We shall then check into our guesthouse at Lobuche for the night. Overnight stay at the guesthouse in Lobuche. <span>Accommodation:</span> Lodge, Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
Day 10 :
LOBUCHE — EVEREST BASE CAMP VIA GORAK SHEP 5,364M | 5HOURS - 14KM
We will have our breakfast. Today an anticipated day of the trip, it will commence with a slow walk. Avoiding altitude sickness, a slow walk further on from Lobuche runs alongside the sight of the world’s highest glacier- the Khumbu Glacier, to the right. Walking for about 2-3 hours from Lobuche, we will get to Gorakshep (5,181m), a tranquil location dotted with some lodges. From here, the path moves all the way to the top of the edge, finally arriving at the Everest Base Camp. Here, the sight of the Khumbu Icefall and the view of the Khumbutse and Lingtren mountains are quite heavenly. After spending some time at the base camp enjoying the sights and the environment, we shall return back to Gorakshep. Day 11 :
GORAKSHEP — KALA PATTAR 5,545M—PERICHE 4,243M; 6 HOURS - 13KM
After breakfast, we will climb a hard peak for one or two hours to reach the Kala Pattar 5,545 meter and enjoy the beautiful and spectacular Sunrise view from the top. After reaching the top of the Kala Pattar, we will enjoy a great range of the West face of Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku and many more. After this awesome Everest view, we will return back to our camping place Periche. The Periche is named by our customers as a Windy Town where is also we will find Himalayan Rescue Association Aid Post. Should anyone face a problem or need assistance, the Himalayan Rescue Association staffed by International volunteer doctors would be helping us. Day 12 :
PERICHE — NAMCHE 3440M; 7 HOURS - 15KM
We will have our breakfast and if we all are interested then we will visit the “Nagkartshang Gompa” before we descend our trek to Tengboche. After around 4 hours walk we will reach our destination Tengboche and overnight at an altitude of 3,867 meters where all will feel comfortable and sleep well. However, please do not forget to drink a lot, it is very important for all of us. <span>Accommodation:</span> Lodge, Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
Day 13 :
NAMCHE — LUKLA; 7 HOURS - 18KM
After breakfast, we start the hike back to Lukla follows a trail that moves steeply downwards and crosses a suspension bridge. Chortens, prayer flags, Mani-stone walls, and small Gompas line the villages and the trail. The Dudh Koshi River gushes by and adds a beautiful ambiance to the natural setting. Open plains, pine and rhododendron forests as well as snow-covered peaks decorate the beautiful picturesque settings. Finally, we will reach Lukla and overnight stay at the hotel. <span>Accommodation:</span> Lodge, Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
Day 14 :
LUKLA — KATHMANDU
Enjoy your breakfast at your hotel in Lukla. Then, we will pack our backpack and take a 35 minutes flight back to Kathmandu. During the flight back to Kathmandu, you can revel in the changing sights of the landscapes one last time while on the flight. After landing at Kathmandu airport, you will be transferred to the hotel. Check-in and rest the day on your own shopping the souvenirs. Day 15 :
RELAX IN KATHMANDU
Have your breakfast at your hotel. Initially, today is our reserved day in Kathmandu. Encase of any problem during the trek, our reserved day will avoid us missing further journeys to the next destination. On this day, you can proceed shopping around Kathmandu or just enjoy the sightseeing tours of Patan and Bhaktapur. Day 16 :
DEPARTURE
