Enjoy your breakfast at the lodge. After breakfast we will check out with lunch boxes and drive to Serengeti national park. Enjoy game drives en route and arrive at your lodge for dinner.
The Serengeti together with Kenya’s Masai Mara Game Park form Africa’s most famous wildlife park. The image of acacia trees on an endless grass plain epitomizes Africa for many, and then add a Masai
warrior and some cattle to the picture, and the conversation need go no further. The annual wildebeest migration through the Serengeti and the Masai Mara is the largest mass movement of land mammals on the planet – with more than a million animals following the rains. But that is not where the game viewing ends; large prides of lions, elephants and giraffes in grasslands, gazelles, and eland to mention but a few.
ThornTree Camp is a classic tented safari camp located in Seronera area of Serengeti National Park, about fifteen minutes from the Seronera airstrip and visitor’s center. The camp is open year-round, offering traditional Tanzanian hospitality and great food.
The camp is permanently based in central Serengeti, in the Seronera Valley, home to year-round wildlife due to the constant presence of water.
There are fifteen spacious tents with a screened in sitting area. Both twin and queen-sized beds are available. There is one two-bedroom suite with an adjoining common area for families and another tent with a second bedroom, great for children. Bathrooms have flush toilets and solar hot water taps and showers. ThornTree Camp is powered by solar including hot water and electricity.

We will have the breakfast. Today, we will have a full day to explore the Serengeti national park on game drives.
The Serengeti National Park is the jewel in the crown of Tanzania’s game parks and offers arguably the best game viewing in Africa. The setting is perfect – a sea of endless plains that stretches to the horizon, dotted with the occasional acacia tree and termite mound. This savannah is home to huge herds of buffalo that every year make the mass migration north, through crocodile infested rivers, in a frenzied mixture of mating and galloping that is driven by instinct.
Prides of lion rule here, their hungry gaze sweeping the savannah for a chance to attack the thousands of eland, impala, and gazelle. Solitary leopards stake out their place in the high branches of the acacia tree and herds of elephants roam at will. This is the Africa that you have always dreamed about.
